We’ll take you to some of Japan’s most breathtaking ski resorts — including Myoko Kogen, Nozawa Onsen, Madarao, Lotte Arai, Hakuba, Yuzawa, Zao Onsen, and beyond — capturing the beauty of both your love story and Japan’s legendary powder snow.
Every winter, our ski photography crew travels across Japan, offering professional snow photography for all skill levels. Whether you’re skiing side by side, enjoying a snowy stroll, or planning that once-in-a-lifetime proposal, we’ll be there to preserve the magic.
While we’re based in Nagano for the season, we’re always ready for an adventure and can travel to other resorts when our schedule allows.
From a simple hourly shoot to a full-day mountain experience with an experienced photographer, we’ll make sure your winter memories are as epic and heartwarming as the moment itself.
And yeah, we're not just about sports – we can do family pics and special occasions too!

Ryan Butterfield is an accomplished Action Sports Photographer, specializing in capturing the excitement of Winter Sports Photography. Born and raised in Scotland, he spent most of his winters growing up in the Austrian Alps. Ryan started Ski Guiding in 2007, adding Photography services to enhance his customers' experiences. With a passion for the mountains and an insatiable wanderlust, Ryan has built a successful career within the ski industry, working in many different countries around the world.
In 2014, Ryan moved to Japan, where he has gained extensive knowledge and experience of the local mountains. His skills and experience ensure that no matter what the weather brings, you will be in capable hands.
